Wrapping up in Denver

We’ve had a lot of fun this week talking to people at the Democratic National Convention. At one point, you couldn’t walk down Denver’s 16th Street pedestrian mall without seeing all kinds of folks with clean coal fans or drinking water with the ACCCE logo on it.

Of course, not everyone was supportive – and since this is the Democratic Convention, we even encountered a celebrity who fit that category.

Darryl Hannah (of Splash fame) approached one of our street team members and politely whispered to her, “(clean coal) it’s a myth.”

That’s not true.

Clean coal denotes a suite of real, working technologies used to reduce emissions in the coal-based electricity sector. Constantly evolving technology will allow for additional emissions reductions – including the capture and storage of carbon.

Every credible forecast shows that we will continue to use coal for centuries to come. That’s why we’re in Denver telling folks how important clean coal technology is to America

We know that 100 percent emission-free coal is a work in progress. But instead of dwelling on the problem, join us in finding the solution.

you must be joking about clean coal energy or more probably you are simply making decisions without access to the variables or some other more self serving predisposing influence, like will what I say be accepted by my peers, am I quoting the newspapers right. Over a thousand really big power plants spewing out about a million quebec feet of really nasty emissions. every second. actually its much more but the low count is enough to make a point. The other two prime sources of quasi-non renewable energy, oil and nuclear have some really advanced distillation technology and take a more modern approach than destroying all that incredible energy that if simply refined to separate things like, nitric, sulpheric, and the host of carbon compounds that exist in the various species of coal we would be creating new materials and energy sources that on a scale of magnitude would boggle the mind, however the oligopolies that are the utilities private and traded, at least the common shares, are very cloutish when it comes to the judiciary and are content to see it simply go up in smoke, confident that hundreds of billions will be spent during the next presidents term ( where they played a significant role in determining exactly who will be placed on the ballots) doled out to the grant masters, a combination lawyer, Phd, and accountant skilled in the meanings of the words in their academic position commonly used by their peers at the various academic ventures (companies in the education business to make money} dealing with a word and numbering system where literally anything of a pseudo technical matter can be either proven or disproven, based on the client demands. Lets face it. We are living in a new society that has abandoned nature, replacing it with fashion and law, where the law givers are the politicians who have long lost site of the mandates of old to serve and protect. Now they hide behind closed doors and make laws of entrapment, living very well off those self serving laws within the structured academic caste system with functional nobility degrees for the rich, designed to reap the rewards that the upper classes demand. Other laws like say the child support workforce development laws that at present incarcerate 1.3 million fathers for failure to support siblings that Dna testing has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt are NOT THE FATHERS, mostly wasp poor white trash. branded felons for life. Yep protect and serve, Casinos everywhere, credit card loan sharking, home loan laws that simply put take whatever the buyer can affoard floating around stealing homes with high equity. Or the MADD ( mothers against drunk drivers) A rich country club associated gang of pharmacy stoned old ladies without a clue jail millions=felon for life-close 70% of the taverns- and foster a street drug traffic that has not only created an american gangland culture centered around drugs that won't get you a dui unless blood tested which you have the right to refuse. Making decisions without access to the variables---We have lost our way. The elitest fueled by greed and lust have sufficient revenue to do whatever the want because the judges have become nothing more than lawyers on the prowl for cash and power. Don't get me wrong America is the best of the best, almost, we, because of the power of the nobility still haven't adopted things like, No fault insurance, universal medical, where the computer is used for something besides billing, and universal education ,like canada and others where the first three years of college are free whith the remainder a 1% loan. The fed gets the revenue back in higher paying jobs. And really I can't say that I would be any different that anyone I have known, If Ilived their lives, had their parents, religions etc---but be forewarned , now the world has one book and the children will change the world. The revolution has already happened, and its a kind world, live and let live, the wrong ways will die with the people who are that way. or face extinction because ultimately there can only be truth, all else will vanish in time . And while they say what they definately don't understand, we will change, or perish---in the spirit of truth

There is no such thing as clean coal. Coal is a dirty polluting substancw no matter how it is processed. We should be focusing on using RENEWABLE energy sources like solar, wind, biomass, tidal, etc. not on promoting fossil fuels.

What is the current percent CO2 reduction due to clean coal compared to coal CO2 emissions 10 years ago?
