
After founding and leading the nation’s top strategic media research company for politics and public affairs advertising, Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group (CMAG), Evan Tracey accepted the senior vice president of communications role for his client, the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity. In this role, Evan’s responsibilities include setting the direction and strategy for the national communications campaign. He is tasked with helping to promote public policy relevant to the coal based electricity industry.
As President of CMAG, he became one of the leading voices on trends in politics and issue media as CNN’s on-air media consultant. Evan has also been the featured speaker and lecturer at the Vicente Fox Center, Harvard’s Kennedy School, and at over 75 other forums on political and advocacy media. In addition to his work with the electronic media, he has presented and provided written commentary to a number of groups including the American Advertising Federation, Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) NAB and Radio Advertising Bureau and wrote a regular column for Ad Age Magazine. He was repeatedly quoted by the news media on issues and trends in political and issue advertising.
As a member of the faculty at George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management since 2006, Evan currently teaches classes on the fundamentals of communications and communication strategy.
